i need to clean the apartment since i got off early today, and Lauren might possibly (hopefully) be coming over tonight if things work out.

i never thought i'd say it, but it feels good to be back in the factory work field now. it's certainly not something i want to do forever, but it's very suitable for the time being...
Pros:
- Higher pay
- Getting off at 3:30, which still leaves time for tennis and other outdoor activities
- The ability to go in, do my job, and leave without having to deal with customers, returns, and other assorted bullshit that comes with retail
- Being physically active
- Always off on weekends
- No one breathing down my neck about RESERVES and SUBSCRIPTIONS

Cons:
- No more 50% off at Starbucks
- I get cut a lot
- Being outdoors raises the risk of exposure to reptiles *cringes*

i'm hoping to start buying things to start working on Jotaro soon. i really want to have that finished before Otakon, if not before. maybe this might be that one time when i actually start AND finish a cosplay. luckily now, i have someone closeby who can help me  ^_^ d

tennis at 3:30 today, so i have about an hour to clean this place up. oraoraora!!!

Fun
so yea. MTAC was fun. kinda decided a week beforehand to go, but it was worth it. i just really wish i wouldn't have left my shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, and razor up there. piss-drunk roommates got really annoying too.

well, it's back to the old factory job tomorrow. more pay, better hours, and actually moving and being active as opposed to standing behind a register getting fat all day. i think it will be a nice transition. it should also prep me better for my return to the ring.

Animazement.... i'm going to have to file that one into the "maybe" folder at this point. it really depends on how many hours i will be having to put in at that time. i guess when it starts getting a little closer to time, i'll be able to determine for sure.

i won't be getting much sleep tonight. damn con to reality transition always makes monday far more harsh than usual. yare yare daze!

MTAC
well, by some twist of fate, it ends up that i'll be going after all.

apparently there is going to be a Prince of Tennis meet up at the tennis courts at the hotel at which the event is being held, and we are actually going to play some games. i know that we'll definately have Tezuka and Atobe, and several more maybes so that should be fun.

i'm also doing Ryohei Sasagawa from Katekyo Hitman Reborn (which is basically closet cosplay with a white wig, nose bandage, and taped fists), and i realllly wanna try to finish Strider Hiryu, if i can get all of my supplies and whatnot back from a friend in time to finish it up.

luckily Animazement is in late May, so that gives me plenty of time to recover and prepare for it afterwards (provided that i can avoid catastrophe until then).

so these two guys at the tennis courts challenged any 2 of our group of 8 or so to play a doubles match. of course everyone nominated me quickly, and ike decided he would serve as my doubles partner for the game. the two of them were very good. ike was doing ok in the beginning, but quickly tired and started to screw up quite a bit. luckily for us, they also had a player who was becoming fatigued as the game went on. ike and i ended up winning 6-4 (actually 7-4 because they failed to keep up with the game count correctly, but we just went along with it). it was just such a refreshing feeling to be able to play against new challengers, as opposed to always having to play against the same people over and over. i hope that perhaps we can meet again soon.

..yea, i totally made a bad one. i pretty much quit boxing for the time being, due to conflicting schedules with Gamestop. i honestly don't know what the hell i was thinking at that point, but i have been putting a lot of thought into it, and realize what needs to be done. boxing was pretty much "that one thing" for me that gives a person motivation to work towards a goal and sets them apart. the thought of me tossing that aside in favor of working an easily replaceable retail job, for a company that i despise, makes absolutely no sense at all. i'm going to see about getting my old job back tomorrow, and if they accept me back (which is likely) then i will be putting in my 2 weeks notice to GameStop. i'll be much happier once that happens.

MTAC is looking doubtful, as it would put too much of a strain on making Animazement. that is unless Bo still wants to go Saturday only, which is anyone's guess at this point.

and i'm so not looking forward to having to close with the strange, 30-something year old gay guy at work tomorrow. ughhhh!

it was nice getting to see everyone again and hanging out.

i'm going to IHOP now (but being driven, of course ^_^)

my original plan was to ride with a friend who happened to be going that way and get dropped off, and picked back up Sunday....

of course, it was brought to my attention that we might be lacking the needed carspace to get to the con, so if that's the case i could drive if needed. however, with only a small 2-door car, i'm not sure how many people/things we could fit in, but if nothing else perhaps enough to get there at least.

let me know...

looks like i'll be sticking with Tezuka and Akihiko for MomoCon, and plan to immediately start on Jotaro upon getting back, and hopefully finish him before MTAC (or at least Animazement). i intended for Rikkai to be the last PoT cosplay for me, but apparently Heath and Bo want to do the Tokyo Sports Selection team. I might end up doing that with them eventually.

apparently i'm going to be transferred to a different store because it's "unfair" for employees at the same GameStop to live together. apparently they think Eric and I are fucking married or something, bleh. so now it's either going to be off to the mall location, or even worse to the "ghetto Gamestop". Lame.

i finally got a haircut (thanks to Bo), so that's kinda nice i guess.

so we finally got moved in last Saturday. things are going alright so far. of course i hate babies, especially when having to live in the same household as one who tends to throw fits frequently. luckily, a closed door always serves as a nice remedy for that. we are supposed to have our internet hooked up by Monday if things go as planned.

i've also decided that i am going to quit boxing. it's just not fulfilling anymore. it's funny how things that meant the world to you at one point can just become nothing over time. it's hard for me to come forward to the few people working with me on it, because i know it's going to be disappointing for them, but my heart just simply isn't into it anymore. i'll probably regret this decision eventually, but it feels like the right thing to do at the moment.

so i guess now it's getting about time to start last minute con-preparations, although it it's like usual i will probably put it off until the week of the con. bleh.
